James Phillip

James Phillip is a passionate advocate for social justice and equity. A graduate of San Diego State University, James also holds a degree in Alcohol and Other Drug Studies (AODS) from San Diego Community College, complementing his academic foundation in criminal justice.

Driven by a desire to understand systemic issues affecting marginalized communities, James has chosen to specialize in counseling and criminal justice, exploring the psychological and emotional challenges individuals face, particularly those grappling with addiction, poverty, and discrimination. Through his studies of addiction-related issues and criminal justice, James has gained insights into the laws, policies, and procedures contributing to the unequal treatment of minority populations.

Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Educational Counseling, James focuses on Restorative Justice Practice and Trauma-Informed Care, emphasizing mediation, compromise, and individualized care as alternatives to traditional institutional justice.

Committed to making a difference, James is dedicated to advocating for and providing resources to marginalized communities. He believes in the importance of breaking the cycle of poverty and inequality, offering support, and fostering inclusivity for those historically denied access to opportunities. Through his work, James aspires to be a beacon of hope, assisting individuals on the brink and guiding them towards a path of healing, understanding, and empowerment.

We believe in leading with love to assist homeless individuals in getting their lives back on track within a supportive environment, with peer-to-peer support and community-based resources. Helping the underserved populations reach self-sufficiency and not just surviving but thriving because of the permanent lifestyle changes they make.
